In lieu of the usual Salida City Council Work Session normally scheduled for today, May 16 the city will instead conduct its annual Planning Retreat on Tuesday, May 17 at the Salida SteamPlant Annex, 220 West Sackett Avenue.

Beginning at 10:00 a.m. May 17, the all-day session will include key department heads, staff and elected officials.
Among items on the agenda are:
- A Review of Mission Statement, Goals, and Priorities
- Options for Regulations for Lodging Tax and Short-Term Rentals
- Home Rule Charter Background Information
- Potential November 2022 Ballot Measure(s) Discussion
- Preliminary Budget Priority Discussion
- Economic Development Opportunities and Relationships – Chaffee County Economic Development Corporation
