Salida City Council Schedules Public Hearing to Approve Lease with Rivian LLC

On January 5 at 6:00 p.m. Salida City Council will hold their regular meeting where they will host a public hearing on the approval of a lease between the City and Rivian LLC. If approved, Rivian would install a new electric vehicle charging station at 232 G Street.

City Council, sitting as the Liquor Licensing Authority will also host a public hearing to review a new beer and wine liquor license for Mojo’s Eatery. Council will also discuss the final settlement for the 2020 street reconstruction project along with the 2020 sewer rehabilitation point repairs project.

Unfinished resolution items include a second reading and public hearing (which if passes) would approve the transfer of property located at the intersection of M Street and Third Street from the City of Salida to the Chaffee Housing Trust.

New business and actions items include resolution 2021-01 which would designate the place for posting public notices for city council and other city business. The council will also discuss the renewal of a declaration of extension of state of local emergency along with COVID-19 action plan implementation.
