At 6:00 p.m. on June 15, the Salida City Council will host their regular meeting where council will hear and consider approval of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.

The auditors have completed their field work and have worked with staff to develop the report which has all the requirements necessary for submitting to the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for consideration of a Certification of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting award. The auditors will be in attendance (virtually) to discuss the draft report and the annually required “board (Council) communication letter”.

Council will also host the first reading of Ordinance 2021-10 which would amend the Salida Municipal Code concerning in-lieu fees chosen as an option for satisfaction of the inclusionary housing requirements.

Council will also consider approval of the amended City Administrator Employment Agreement as well as hear the Treasurer’s Report on April Sales Taxes and a newly formatted, Budget vs. Actual Performance Report.

City Council meetings continue to allow in-person attendance, primarily for purposes of conducting public hearings. The city still requests that those wishing to testify should plan to do so via the GoToWebinar platform or by email or letter.

Anyone who is unvaccinated who wants to provide testimony must wear a face mask and remain at least six feet away from others both inside and outside of the Council Chambers.
