The Salida City Council will host their regular meeting starting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday March 2. Council will have the second reading and conduct a public hearing on Ordinance 2021-02 which would amend Chapter 6 of the Salida Municipal code concerning businesses licensing and regulations including marijuana licensing and short-term rental licensing.
The council will also host a public hearing to review a new hotel and restaurant liquor license for Pizza Rio located at 228 North F Street.
New Business items include a discussion on Resolution 2021-04 which finds the Upchurch Annexation Petition to be in substantial compliance with state statutes, qualifying for a public hearing on the petition. The proposed annexation is roughly between County Road 140 and 141 and west of Holman Avenue. Also on the agenda is Resolution 2021-05 which would approve the subdivision plat for the Cherry Grove major subdivision, located at 825 Scott Street near the River Ridge subdivision on the east side of Salida.
Due to current Public Health orders, the meeting will be held via GoToMeeting. In compliance with the City’s shift to Tier II of the COVID-19 Action Plan, all boards and commissions will allow limited in-person attendance for purposes of conducting public hearings beginning March 2. The City continues to request that those wishing to testify do so via the GoToWebinar platform or by email or letter.
Public hearing in-person testimony limited to 10 members of the public allowed in the council meeting room at any given time, in addition to the City Council, or staff members. Anyone providing testimony must wear a mask and remain at least six feet away from others both inside and outside Council Chambers.
