Salida City Council will host their regular meeting at 6 p.m. on November 17. Items on the consent agenda include a discussion on approving the Elk’s special event liquor license requests. The board will also discuss the 2021 Angel of Shavano Car Show. The annual event is to raise money for Chaffee Search and Rescue through funds raised by the show.

The council will also discuss a services contract for recycling. Angel of Shavano Recycling has provided recycling services for the city and the discussion will be on renewing their services.
On August 29, a pipe in the community centers commercial kitchen broke, causing damage to the building. Council will discuss approving a contract with IICON construction in order to fix the damages.
Council will also discuss a letter sent by Chaffee County Hospitality regarding homelessness and winter shelters. The council will also hear staff reports from all departments of the city. A public hearing will be held to review the transfer of a hotel and restaurant liquor license from Quincy’s Inc. to Santa Fe Bar and Grill.
