The Salida City Council has both a regular meeting and a work session scheduled for tonight. The work session starts at 5:00 p.m. and the council meeting begins at 6:00 pm in Council chambers, Room 190 at the Touber Building, 448 East First Street.

At the work session, the Council will review a report on 2022 usage of the Salida Golf Course, the Salida Police Department’s annual crime statistics update, and consider closing F Street again, for the summer, from Sackett Avenue through the 200 block.

The agenda for the regular meeting includes the final reading and public hearing for Ordinance 2023-03, amending Chapter 16, Article VIII of the city code to address stormwater control.

Also on the agenda are approvals for two special events, the Enduro bike race and a fund-raiser for the Monarch Race Team.

Other business items include a liquor license hearing for Riveting Experience Jewelry; three resolutions to do with housing developments; and the first readings and public hearings for two ordinances.

Ordinance 2023-04, would adopt policies in accordance with the state’s Plastic Pollution Reduction Act. Ordinance 2023-05, would address “small cell facilities” for wireless broadband access.
