The Salida City Council will host a work session at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 19. Council will hear a public presentation of the 2021 budget and discuss a specific aspect of the budget; the Phase IV highway improvements. Also on the agenda; a discussion surrounding police funding.
After the last budget discussion, the community reached out to City Council asking to be part of the conversation when it came to funding future policing functions. The general sentiment; that the issue of police funding is a relevant topic throughout the country. Many local citizens say they feel very strongly on the issue, both supportively and critically, and want to be able to express their opinions.

After the public budget review, the City Council will receive an update on the Community Center.
Council will then receive a presentation by PFCA on the Advocacy Lab and Elected Officials Microsite. The last item on the agenda is the Raw Water Study Master Plan update.
