The agenda for the City of Salida City Council session scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m., Jan. 4, is brief. The previously scheduled Jan. 3 council work session was canceled altogether.

The consent agenda includes two items; a hangar lease agreement for Harriet Alexander Field, and a facility space license agreement at the airport with Hilltop Broadband.

Betsy Dittenber, Executive Director of Chaffee County Community Foundation

New business items include a presentation and discussion of the 2022 Salida Community Grants Process given by Betsy Dittenber, Executive Director of the Chaffee County Community Foundation, which manages the city’s community grant process.  The proposed amount for 2022 grants is budgeted at $80,000, double that of 2021.

City Council needs to review and approve Res. 2022-01, which designates the place for the posting of public notices for city council meetings and other city business.

The brief agenda of business items will be followed by Council Reports, the Mayor’s Report, as well as reports by the city attorney, treasurer, and an update from the Chaffee Board of County Commissioners.

Given the current COVID-19 surge, council sessions are being held virtually.
