The Salida Community Center will be holding another food distribution beginning at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday April 6.

The Salida Community Center, located at F St. and Third St. in Salida, serves the entire Chaffee County Area of Salida, Buena Vista, Nathrop, Howard, Cotopaxi, Coaldale, and surrounding areas.
The food to be distributed does include meat, canned goods, fresh vegetables, bread and pastries and the Colorado Central Humanists will be handing out personal care items such as shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and toilet paper.
The Salida Community Center will be handling the TEFAP program administered by Care and Share from Colorado Springs. TEFAP stands for The Emergency Food Assistance Program and is a federal program that provides people living on a low income with extra food each month at NO COST! CSFP stands for Commodity Supplemental Food Program and is a Federal program that provides low-income seniors, age 60 and older, with extra food each month at no cost.
