After a year of ups and downs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Salida High School seniors will get to walk for graduation. The Salida High School class of 2021 is set to graduate on Saturday, May 29.
The ceremony will be held outside in the Spartan Stadium. The ceremony begins at 10:00 a.m. with gates opening to the public at 9:30 a.m.
Guests can sit in the stadium seats or with blankets and camp chairs along the outside of the fence if they prefer. Due to COVID-19 precautions, the high school has created a QR code for the commencement program. This will be placed at the stadium entrance and can also be found here.
While it was a year of ups and downs, the Salida School District operated in person for the entire year (with some periods of quarantines, and an opt-in online school option), making it one of the few school districts in the state to have functioned in a structure as near to normal as possible.
