The Salida Parks and Recreation Department will temporarily close the Salida Hot Springs Aquatic Center starting at 7:30 p.m. November 20 until November 30. The decision was made after reviewing the most up-to-date Public Health order by Governor Polis and local Public Health Orders as well as the current spike in COVID-19 rates in the county.

Salida Parks and Rec encourages the community to recreate safely outdoors as much as possible during this time. Parks, Trails and Open Spaces remain open and an alternative to the Aquatic Center and Recreation Programs.

The department reminds the community that this is an opportunity to stay as safe as possible by following the local guidelines. They hope that by working together to curb the rise in cases within the county, that the center will be able to reopen again soon.
