The Salida branch of the Chaffee County Clerk’s Motor Vehicle Department located at 104 Crestone, Salida will be closed from Monday, June 14 through Wednesday, June 16 while its staff attend training. The Salida Motor Vehicle office will return to regular operating hours on Thursday, June 17.

The Buena Vista Motor Vehicle Office branch located at 112 Linderman Ave., Buena Vista will remain open during this period for its regular hours, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. They can also be reached at 719-395-8296.
The Recording Office located in the Clerk’s Main Office at 104 Crestone will also remain open for regular hours, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Many transactions, including license plate renewals, can be accomplished through the Chaffee County Clerk’s website without needing to visit a physical office location. Click here for additional guidance.
