As the Christmas season comes to a close, now is the time to make sure your tree is disposed of properly. The City of Salida is offering a site for residents to dispose of their live Christmas trees. The site will be located at the multi-use facility property with the automatic gate at 8551 West Highway 50 on the south side of the highway.
This location is approximately half a mile west of Walmart. The site will be open now through January 18 on weekdays, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The city asks you to place the tree in the signed drop off location and ensure all decorations, ornaments and tinsel are removed prior to disposal.
