Salida Public Works currently has several street projects in progress throughout Salida,  including numerous locations for reconstruction, mill, and overlay, as well as point repairs to sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and crosswalks.

Blake Street is currently under construction between Chilcott Street and Jones Avenue where work will continue into the fall. Blake street was paved and is now reopened to the public between Park Ave and Chilcott Street.

Also, in progress is the concrete rehabilitation project in various locations across town. Current work includes sidewalk ADA ramp installations along G Street.

Starting on August 24, sidewalk repairs on the 200 block of F Street are planned which will close the sidewalks at the location of work activities.

Cones are already in place and pedestrians are urged to use caution as the sidewalk is uneven in spots on the east side of F Street.

The City of Salida is also nearing completion replacing worn sections of sidewalks on both sides of West Second Street, some 10 blocks from the Monarch Spur Trail west to Hwy 291.

In addition, a new section will also have handrails at the ditch crossing.
