Salida Parks and Recreation will host Pop Up: Friday at the Fairgrounds from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 14,at the Chaffee County Fairgrounds, located at 10165 CR120 in Poncha Springs.
The department says the event provides an opportunity for the community to bring their young ones, with established times for babies through toddlers, followed by time for those with older children, for an hour of open gym with music, tea, coffee and snacks.
The portion of the event specifically for babies and toddlers is focused on the 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. time frame. The 10 to 11 a.m. time frame is scheduled as family time for families with kids up to 10 years old.
There will be a quick group activity to start and then the opportunity to stay and play on mats or to play with blocks and parachutes.
