The Salida School District Board of Education met in a closed executive session for three hours with legal counsel and the Superintendent during a special meeting on Friday, February 18, 2022. They discussed the legal process surrounding Salida High School Principal Talmadge Trujillo and the next steps.

Trujillo was charged with  a class-6 felony “Tampering with Physical Evidence” when Salida Police went to the school to serve a search warrant for his phone in connection with the Sept. 23 incident. Trujillo turned himself in “without incident”.

The Board has to set a special meeting to act upon the Superintendent’s recommendations at 5:00 p.m. March 3, 2022 in the Board Room at the Kesner Building, 349 East 9th Street, Salida.
