The Salida School Board will host its regular board meeting at 6 p.m. August 11. The board will hear public comments as well as discuss both a return-to-school update as well as a nutrition update. Also on the agenda is the school district’s transportation and activities update. For months the community has been waiting for the board’s decision about how to reopen school classes in the fall.
Along with safety, one big question surrounds sports and extracurricular activities and how COVID-19 might impact these schedules. The board will receive an update and then discuss what the safest options are for students.
Action items on the agenda include a vote to approve policies recommended by the Colorado Association of School Boards. Click here to see the full list of policies.
