The Salida School Board will host a work session at 6 p.m. on July 14, where the board will receive feedback from the community and make changes to the first draft of the district’s back-to-school plan.

With the impact of the coronavirus known as COVID-19 and Governor Jared Polis’s closure of in-person school last March to slow the spread of the virus, communities all across Colorado are wondering what school will look like for their children this fall. The Salida School District revealed its draft Salida School District reopening plan on July 10.

This meeting is also the chance for public comment on the plan.

Comments should be emailed to the Board Secretary bcoscarella@salidaschools.org prior to the start of the meeting. Include your name and the topic to be addressed. The meeting will be held via Zoom.
