Chaffee County has again proven itself to be a community that supports the arts and on April 14 it rallied behind the students of the Salida School District for the seventh annual Spring Collage Concert.

Salida School District Communications Specialist Kim LeTourneau reported today that the School Districts Spring Collage Concert raised more than $3,000 to support the Salida Schools Arts Council (SSAC) Performing and Visual Arts Scholarships program.

“Salida Schools and the SSAC wants to send a huge thank you to the community!” reported LeTourneau. “More than 600 people attended the evening’s activities.

The School District also points out to the community that the students in the Salida High School art programs and the National Art Honor Society actually ran this year’s event at SHS.
