The Salida Sunrise Rotary Club Charitable Fund is asking for community support by donating on Colorado Gives Day on December 8, 2020. Since November of 2014, the mission of the Charitable Fund has been to support the efforts of the Salida Sunrise Rotary with the fulfillment of projects that focus on service to local youth, the environment as well as community and international projects. The charitable funding is a vehicle for the work that Salida Sunrise does.
Due to COVID-19, Salida Sunrise has had to cancel its usual fundraising efforts, making the Colorado Gives Day event a critical fundraiser for the organization. Donations aid the community and ensure the awarding of scholarships, community grants and the sponsorship of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library so it can continue.
Community First Foundation and FirstBank put on the annual Colorado Gives Day which is a statewide movement to celebrate and increase philanthropy through online giving. The event is powered by ColoradoGives.org which is a year-round online giving platform. Those who wish to donate can find Salida Sunrise’s profile on the site and make a safe donation to them. The money donated will be a large part of their annual operating budget.
