The early season snowstorm that hit Salida has caused significant amounts of damage to trees and causing downed limbs across town. That’s because the early snowfall  — technically it’s still summer — is full of moisture and the trees are still full of leaves weighing down tree limbs.

The City says it will prioritize tree pruning and limb removal in city right-of-ways as well as parks.

Residents may place limbs along the shoulder of the road for city pickup by Salida Public Works.

Salida Public Works will be dumping the wood chips created from downed limbs, at the t-ball field parking lot, adjacent to Sackett Avenue and M Street for public access.
