It’s that time of year when the air is full of the sound of music — and children’s laughter and art projects — and all the other things that accompany the end of a successful year of school.
The Salida Youth Choir will be presenting a Spring Showcase concert at 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 5. The choir, composed of students from the community in grades two through eight, is under the direction of Music Educator Mary Sandell. The youth will be singing a collection of youth choir pieces. Titles include Exultate, Listen to the Rain, and Kookaburra.
The concert will be held at the Salida United Methodist Church, 228 E. 4th Street. The concert is free and open to the community,
A free-will donation will be collected to help provide scholarships for future Salida Youth Choir members.
