Following Salida JazzFest, people take in the fireworks display organized by members of the Salida Fire Department Saturday, Aug. 25. The fireworks display was rescheduled due to a fire ban during the Fourth of July holiday. Complaints surfaced that the fireworks display was not scheduled to coincide with the Hometown Picnic on Labor Day, but the need for emergency services personnel at the Seven Peaks Music Festival prevented the display from coinciding with the picnic (photo by Joe Stone).
