Salida's E Street slated for water and street reconstruction; F Street closure - by Taylor Sumners

The City of Salida has contracted with Y&K Excavation, Inc. to continue water and street reconstruction of E Street from Sackett St. to 1^st Street.

According to a press release from the City of Salida, the contractor plans to initiate construction Sept. 19 and work is expected to be completed in October. Periodic closures are anticipated at the mid-block alley. However, all intersections are anticipated to remain open during construction.

In addition, to the E Street construction, the contractor for the Boathouse Restaurant located on F Street has requested the closure of F Street from Sackett Avenue to the Arkansas River Bridge. Their notification indicates a closure is to occur on Thursday, September 19 and is anticipated to last from 6 a.m. to midnight for completion of construction activities.

The city reinforced that public safety is a priority and that it appreciates the public’s patience while these projects are underway.
