Christmas is approaching and the tradition of Holiday Park will carry on with the help of Salida Sunrise Rotary. Anyone can adopt a tree to decorate in honor of families, friends and loved ones, now gone. Display photos and mementos or local businesses can promote their services in the community.
Proceeds from Holiday Park are used to fund scholarships for college-bound seniors at Salida High School. Holiday Park is currently looking for more trees, so if you or someone you know has a Christmas Tree they aren’t using and would like to donate contact Julie Richardson at 913-209-3960. Monetary donations can also be made.
Tree prices are as follows:
- Business tress – $50
- Non-profit and service group trees – $40
- Family/Individual/memory trees – $30
Holiday Park participants can start decorating on November 12. Currently, Trees must be decorated by November 22. Click here to download an application. Applications must be mailed or dropped off at the Salida Chamber of Commerce. Tags will then be available for pick up within two days of submitting the application.
