The COVID-19 pandemic is the immediate crisis the world is facing, but the world is also faced with another tragedy: climate change. Renewable Energy Outfitters, based here in Chaffee County, was featured on the Top Solar Contractors List of companies.
The annual list published in Solar Power World magazine included the Salida based installers. Renewable Energy Outfitters has achieved a rank of 406 out of 407 companies.

The list of Top Solar Contractors is developed annually by Solar Power World to highlight and honor the work of all solar installers. Solar firms in the utility, commercial, and residential sectors are ranked by the number of kilowatts installed in the previous year. Companies are grouped and listed by specific services such as developers, electrical subcontractors, EPCs, installation subcontractors, rooftop installers, markets, and states.
The 2020 class of Top Solar Contractors continues to innovate with the addition of energy storage. Renewable Energy Outfitters was also included on the 2020 Top Solar and Storage Installers List, ranking 94 out of 137 companies.
