This is a powerhouse return; the Power of WE (Women Entrepreneurs) Conference is set for Friday, May 19 at the Salida SteamPlant Event Center.

This year’s conference theme is “Amplifying Purpose + People + Profit.” It will feature keynote speaker Taishya Adams, Founder of Mukuyu Collective, LLC, a liberation strategist, earth-tender, and connector.

Taishya will speak on “A Tale of Two Women: Healing at the Intersection,” a powerful message about the intersectionality of identities and how we can heal together.

The Power of WE (Women Entrepreneurs) Conference  has been developed as a platform for women to ignite positive change and support each other in their personal and professional development. It offers thought-provoking content, resources, and tools to inspire women’s leadership development, creativity, and innovation.

In addition, the conference highlights the many federal, state, and local funding opportunities available to women and provides tools and resources to support women-owned businesses.

“We are excited to welcome women from all backgrounds who have an interest in she/her/hers topics and discussions,” said conference organizer and host, Jamie Billesbach, who leads the regional Small Business Development Center located in Salida. “Our goal is to encourage and support Colorado women-owned businesses and entrepreneurs by providing self-awareness tools and practices and creating an environment that ignites positive change in women’s professional and personal development.”

The conference will also feature engaging shared stories from women-owned businesses, interactive workshops, panel discussions, along with 30 exhibitors, networking opportunities, and an after party.

WE organizers say that it aims to provide a platform for these trailblazers to connect, collaborate and present their innovative solutions. By doing so, they hope to inspire and empower the next generation of women entrepreneurs and nonprofit supporters to tackle the most critical challenges facing our world today.

The concept for WE was inspired by women who focus on igniting positive change. It is a platform for women to connect, learn, and inspire each other in their personal and professional development.
