After a year’s hiatus, Shakespeare in the Park is back for the 2021 summer season and plans to join the Salida Art Walk.   Performances are scheduled in Riverside Park at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 26th and Sunday, June 27th. The show is free, and donations are greatly appreciated.  All ages are welcome.

This will be the tenth(ish) Annual Shakespeare in the Park production.  The play is called The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield. It is an improv-based play that breaks the fourth wall as three actors attempt to act out every play William Shakespeare ever wrote in less than 100 minutes.

The show is complete with audience participation, a rap, much sword fighting, gore, bawdiness and doing the last scene of the show backward.  This production is not to be missed.

Whether you are a learned scholar, or this is your introduction to Shakespeare, pros and novices alike will delight in this truly hilarious romp through all the works of the Bard.

The show will be directed by Devon Kasper and stars Michael Ricci, Hunter Redmon and Wyatt Velhartisky.
