The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment  (CDPHE) will be staffing a special COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Buena Vista High School, 559 S. Railroad St., on Sunday, March 28, from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The special clinic is being planned in response to rising concerns about local cases of the South African variant. The clinic is by appointment and for eligible groups only and will be a drive-through event similar to the model used by Chaffee County Public Health.

CDPHE will be using the Pfizer vaccine, so registrants need to commit to coming back for a second dose on April 18.

Those with an existing appointment for the first dose in an upcoming clinic should keep their appointment or cancel if they choose a different clinic date. Local providers are also hosting several first-dose clinics set for the coming weeks. Eligible parties can find upcoming CCPH clinics at www.chaffeecounty.rsvpify.com.
