The 9:00 am. Jan. 8 regular meeting of Chaffee County Commissioners will begin with the swearing in of new Chaffee County commissioner Rusty Granzella, and returning Commissioners Keith Baker and Greg Felt in Commissioner’s Chambers at 104 Crestone Ave. in Salida. This will be followed by the election of the Commissioner Chair and Vice-Chair.
The agenda includes three public hearings, beginning at 9:45 a.m. With the Kalivoda Heritage Water Subdivision exemption. The request is related to the subdivision of 74.38 acres into two lots of roughly 55 acres and 18.9 acres.
The second public hearing will present proposed changes to the Chaffee County on-site waste water systems regulations, followed by a public hearing on an ordinance, followed by a resolution, extending the ban on new retail (recreational) marijuana establishments in the county.
Other agenda items include a boundary adjustment, plat amendments and water subdivision exemptions, and consideration of a one year extension to the Subdivision Improvements Agreement for the Lakeside Estates Preserve Subdivision (tabled from the Dec. 18 meeting).
Commissioners will also clarify their Resolution 2018-66 regarding the Colorado Opportunity Scholarship Initiative/Colorado Mountain College Matching Student Scholarship.
Commissioner Keith Baker will present a resolution designating the Stage and Rail Trail and Chaffee County Attorney Jennie Davis will provide background for designating the county’s public posting locations and review the 2019 meeting schedule.
