The 28th Annual Angel of Shavano Car Show begins at 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 in Riverside Park in Salida.

The car show, which features show events for classic cars, serves as a fundraiser for Chaffee County Search and Rescue South.
The engine meltdown will start around 11 a.m. with the presentation of the awards at 2 p.m. That afternoon with cars parked all around Historic Downtown Salida in Riverside Park.
Entry to the event is still open. Those still looking to register for the event will find registration open from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3.
The first 100 entries will receive a Show Supporter Award, with the top seven entries awarded exclusive trophies and Dignitary awards.
