A reminder from the Chaffee Board of County Commissioners; the Nov. 3 election is over and political campaign signs must come down.

No matter which party or candidates you supported, the rules are the same: election signs can legally only remain up for 15 days following the election. Then the signs can no longer legally be displayed in unincorporated Chaffee County.

The county’s municipalities have similar rules. Colorado Home Owners Associations (HOAs) can have their own rules for the display of political campaign materials.

An unscientific tour around and along county roads reveal that many Chaffee County voters, primarily Republicans and Trump supporters, are so far ignoring that directive.
