Busy Event Schedule Marks — “That time of year”

It is Homecoming Week at Salida High School with multiple events happening both during school and after. This season is the fiftieth anniversary of the 1971 Football State Championship. More details to come on the celebration of this anniversary.

The event schedule for the week includes the following:

September 13

  • 4:00 p.m. JV Football at the Spartan Stadium
  • 7:15 p.m.  Peach Fuzz at the Salida High School Gym

September 14

  • High School Volleyball starting at 4:00 p.m. Ellicott High School
  • 7:15 p.m. at Spartan Stadium is the Ultimate Frisbee Tournament

September 15

  • 6:30 p.m. is the Bonfire at Ben Oswald Fields

September 16

  • 4:30 p.m. is the homecoming parade in downtown Salida
  • 7:15 p.m. is Powder Puff at Spartan Stadium

September 17

  • 9:00 a.m. is High School Golf at Rye
  • 4:30 p.m. is High School Soccer at Mullen High School
  • 5:00 p.m. is the Homecoming Tailgate Party/Corn Hole Tournament in the SHS parking lot
  • 7:00 p.m. at Spartan Stadium is the Homecoming Football Game

September 18

  • 9:00 a.m. in Gunnison is High School and Middle School Cross Country
  • 11:00 a.m. in the SHS gym is Volleyball
  • 8:00 p.m. is the start of the Homecoming Dance for Salida High School students
