CCPH COID-19 cases Aug. 25

The number of COVID-19 cases in Chaffee County increased by another three in the past few days; making seven new cases in the past seven days. One was reported on Aug. 22, two more on Aug. 23. In addition, there were two additional out-of-county infections detected here, bringing the cumulative total for the county to 333, including 17 out-of-county cases.

The newest in-county infections included a 42-year-old man and a 32-year-old man, both from the north end of the county, and both reported resting at home. A 22-year-old woman from the south end of the county was also reported resting at home.

Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center still reports no COVID-19 patients being treated there currently and the patient population is at 32 percent of its capacity.

This week’s COVID-19 testing schedule is:

  • Tuesday, Aug. 25, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., Touber Building, 448 E. First St., Salida
  • Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Buena Vista Annex, 114 Linderman Ave. (subject to cancellation if the headcount is too low)
  • Thursday, Aug. 27, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., Touber Building, 448 E. First St., Salida

Testing is by appointment only. Appointments must be scheduled by close of business the day before the testing clinic will be held.
