On Saturday, July 22, Salida Concerts Inc. will present the third concert in this summer’s classical concert series, organized in collaboration with the Aspen Music Festival and School.

The concert will take place at Salida High School and will showcase three exceptionally talented young musicians performing pieces from the extensive repertoire of German composer Johannes Brahms. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., followed by a discussion with the performers at 6:45 p.m. The concert itself will commence at 7:30 p.m.

All three of the featured musicians are, at their young ages, incredibly accomplished pianists. To say “incredibly accomplished”  is, if anything, to undersell the decorated histories of each musician.

Taking up the instrument at only five-years-old, Yufei Cathy Chen has been playing piano for a decade now, performing in that time at the Lincoln Center, Kaufman Concert Hall and the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing.

Daniela Liebman, hailing from Mexico, has played at more than 30 concert halls worldwide since starting piano at the age of eight. Her performances have graced venues like the Ravinia Festival, the Kennedy Center, and the La Jolla Music Society. Liebman is currently studying at the Juilliard School.

Pianist Biguo Xing—the old hand of the trio, having recently graduated from the  Juilliard School—has also done her fair share of globetrotting, performing in such legendary venues as the Warsaw Philharmonic Hall. She is currently on staff at Juilliard, teaching in their keyboard skills department.

Tickets, which can be purchased here, are $25 for adults and free for any K-12 student. For any adult accompanying a student, their ticket will be 50% off.
