Together Chaffee has been a long time in the making, but it is nearly here. After nearly 18 months of work, multiple versions, dozens of community meetings, and public input sessions, the latest version — known as the Final Draft— of the Chaffee County Comprehensive Plan is ready for public comment.
Chaffee residents have several options to weigh in on the plan:
- There will be an online live Q&A event providing an opportunity to ask questions about the plan and learn more on December 9. Residents can follow Together Chaffee on Facebook for updates.
- Chaffee residents and businesses can also provide comments in writing to Chaffee Planning Manager Jon Roodra at jroorda@chaffeecounty.org until 5:00 p.m. December 11.
- Comments can be made directly on the county’s feedback survey, which is available on the county’s website until December 12th at 5:00 p.m.
- Chaffee residents can also make an oral statement during a special Comp Plan Public Hearing of the Planning Commission scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. December 15 on Zoom.
