Today is the day to be spontaneous — if you still haven’t gotten your COVID-19 vaccination. There are still time slots open for the April 13 COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the Chaffee Fairgrounds. There are currently slots open from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. this afternoon. This clinic will offer community members their first dose of the Pfizer vaccine. Click here to register.

Salida Fountain and Pharmacy also has vaccination appointments open from April 13 to the 17. They are currently offering both Pfizer as well as the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. Click here to register for the Pfizer vaccine and here for the Johnson and Johnson.

Chaffee County Public Health and its independent pharmacies are encouraging county residents to help support the community, small businesses, and themselves by getting vaccinated as soon as possible. At stake for the County is the critical summer tourism season. The sooner the county gets a maximum number of people vaccinated, the safer both our residents health — and the economy – will be.
