The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has announced that the victim in the Feb. 23 Saguache County homicide there has been identified as Brian Taylor (DOB: 10/14/1980). Taylor was pronounced deceased at the scene. .

The Saguache County Sheriffs Office (SCSO) received a 911 call reporting a stabbing in the 34100 block of County Rd. LL57 in Villa Grove on Wednesday night. Deputies arrived at the home and located Taylor, of Moffat, inside the residence with possible stab wounds.
Dustin Ferguson (DOB: 09/17/1986), Villa Grove, was taken into custody a short time later without incident. He faces charges of first-degree murder and is currently being held at the Saguache County Jail without bond.
The Saguache County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation of the alleged homicide, which occurred in the town of Villa Grove in Saguache County at approximately 10:30 p.m. on February 23, 2022.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is assisting in the investigation at the request of the SCSO.
It’s believed the victim is known to the suspect. Investigators continue work to determine the events leading up to the stabbing.
