When was the last time you were in the Wet Mountain Valley of Colorado?
It’s just a 47-mile scenic southeast journey from Salida, along U.S. 50 and CO 69. Turn at Cotopaxi and head up into the hills past vast open ranch lands and beautiful vistas. There’s something for everyone there and music is always a favorite there.
From 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., KLZR The Voice of The Wet Mountain Valley presents “Summer in the Park”, a free Sunday concert series. Held in the fresh air, outdoors at the Silver West Feedstore Amphitheater, the events run through August 28 at 116 North Second Street in Westcliffe.
07/24 – Martin Gilmore Trio
07/31 – Smythe & Taylor
08/07 – Jimmy Stadler
08/14 – The Rifters
08/21 – Acoustic Eidolon
08/28 – Pint And A Half
To make a full day of it, start early and consider a circle trip including the back roads to Florence and Canon City.
