It appears that Wild Connections is not letting COVID-19 stop them from continuing to protect the environment as they celebrate their 25th anniversary year. Beginning in 1995, the non-profit has always focused on supporting the environment and bringing the community together around that effort.

The coalition of conservation met recently via teleconference to discuss ways to protect key public lands. It continues to focused on ongoing environmental support and the community effort to raise awareness of the need to protect our wild spaces.

During these uncertain times, the team says it is urging the community to continue to connect to protect the environment. Social distancing may put up a barrier, but it does not keep the community from being heard.

“Being required to maintain distance has helped show how truly connected we are — in ways more important than a handshake,” say Wild Connections staff.

Wild Connections plans to continues to monitor threatened public lands and engage with partners. This focus on “togetherness” — working together —  is echoed in their 25th year celebrations.
