Four winners of the Buena Vista Drug Coloring Contest have been selected. In recognition of Buena Vista Drug’s 50th anniversary and the 50th anniversary of Eric Carle’s children’s book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Buena Vista Drug held a contest for children to take part in that concluded June 17.
The contest entry was open for two weeks, beginning June 3. Then the public was invited to view the entries from June 17 to June 21 to participate in a vote to determine the winners of the four different categories.
Everet Stearns won the People’s Choice Award, taking home a ‘grow your own butterfly kit.’ Mabel June Willis, Cameron Mueller, and London Green won for the various age brackets. Each contestant took home a copy of the 50 Anniversary Edition of The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.
Owner, Lucas Smith of Buena Vista Drug, presented the winners with their prizes. Buena Vista Drug awarded four contestants: one winner for The People’s Choice Award and one winner in the three different age groups (1-3 years old, 4-7 years old, and 8-10 years old).
