The session will be led by Cam Torrens. The writing exercises for this WE Write event promise to get the attendee’s creative juices flowing.

The focus of the session will be on how to use dialogue for character development and to expose the conflict between characters. Good use of dialogue can introduce foreshadowing and should move the plot forward.

Cam Torrens is currently vice president of CCWE and president of the Buena Vista Public Library Board of Trustees. He is working on the third novel in his suspense series based in the upper Arkansas valley.

The monthly WE Write sessions are always an exercise in creative writing. Exercises are based on Natalie Goldberg’s method for writing freely and spontaneously. The Chaffee County Writers Exchange fosters writing and encourages publication through the sharing of resources and information.

Register ahead with Cam at taorenkai@gmail.com to get your Zoom link to the meeting. Bring paper and pen or a laptop to the meeting, along with anything else that makes you comfortable in your writing space.
