Whether you’re an experienced skater or new to your wheels, Ramps and Alleys’ open skate sessions and derby leagues are open for new participants.

Ramps and Alleys is continuing to offer public open skate time from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sundays at the Chaffee County Fairgrounds in the North Building. The time is paid for and donated by the derby team, but they gratefully accept any donations toward this program as well as the junior skate programs. Donations can be left in the donation box or sent via Venmo to @ramps-clubhouse.

To join the junior sessions, email Ramps and Alleys at info@rampsandalleys.com. Additionally, organizers are looking for volunteers for their adult derby league for upcoming bouts. There are jobs available for those with and without experience, and they are still welcoming new skaters for those who would like to join.

Additionally, the clubhouse opens an hour early on the first Friday of each month for Lil Shredders, skaters ages 12 and under, to come skate, starting at 9:00 a.m.

Save the Date

There will also be a weekend of skateboard and roller skate clinics on May 14 and 15, with a number of coaches coming to help out. Details and registration will be available on April 1, 2022. Those of all ages and abilities are welcome.

Organizers will also have a derby bout at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 15, with skaters from across the state. For more information about skate events or derby bouts, email info@rampsandalleys.com or visit rampsandalleys.com for more details.
