Sparcely-populated Saguache County is getting some respect. On Friday, Colorado U.S. Senator Michael Bennet announced that his regional staff will be holding telephone office hours for residents of Saguache County.

U.S. Senator Michael Bennet answered questions in March 2018, during a town hall meeting at the Salida SteamPlant Event Center. Bennet fielded questions on a wide range of topics, including his voting record, health care, gun violence, public lands, agriculture, and others (photo by Joe Stone).

The Bennet team says they are committed to answering Coloradans’ questions, listening to their concerns, and helping them navigate federal agencies –– including the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the Social Security Administration (SSA), and more.

“There’s no greater responsibility as Colorado’s senator than being responsive to the needs of Coloradans across our state. I’m pleased to announce that our office is holding telephone office hours this fall in Colorado,” said Bennet. “If you’re having issues navigating a federal agency or receiving benefits, or have any questions, comments, or concerns, I encourage you to schedule time to talk with our team.”

From December 6 to December 10, Erin Minks, Bennet’s Regional Representative for the San Luis Valley, will hold telephone office hours for Coloradans in Saguache County. Details are available below.
