The Chaffee Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) will meet for their regular meeting beginning at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 21 in the Buena Vista Community Center.

In addition to a lengthy consent agenda, the BoCC will consider for approval the Shaw Heritage Water Subdivision exemption, which has been continued from February 14 (and continued several times before that).

The project, by applicant JTS Development LLC, seeks to subdivide 35.99 acres into two parcels of 2.5 acres and 33.49 acres (to be subdivided in a separate application) located at 7381 County Road 221, Salida. A new well and individual on-site wastewater treatment system (OWTS) is proposed to serve the newly created lot of 2.5 acres. The newly created lot will have access through an existing access easement.

A companion Shaw Ranch Plat Amendment, which was also continued from February 14, will set the Shaw Ranch Final Plat to add access and utility easements to accommodate a shared well. These easements are for a well pump house and water distribution lines to the individual lots.

Before adjourning the BoCC will begin discussions of the designated eight days in June on the Arkansas River under the County Recreational In-Channel Diversion (RICD) when Water Rights for the RICD Shall Be 1800 cfs (cubic feet per second) and Discuss and Finalize the 30-day Flow Recommendations for the RICD.

The BoCC will also discuss regulations for the Chaffee Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Secure Transport, and review for development of a resolution.
