The Chaffee Board of County Commissioners (BoCC) will meet in regular session at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 5 in the Commissioners meeting room at 104 Crestone Avenue, Salida. Their regular agenda will begin with an executive session to receive legal advice concerning Water Case 23CW3052 and the Re-vegetation Agreement for the Chicago Ranch.

This will be followed by the ratification of a decision to file a statement of opposition in water case 23CW3052, then a decision on whether to ratify or approve the Re-vegetation Plan for Chicago Ranch with Triview and the Town of Buena Vista.

The agenda had contained a review of the final plan for the Cleora North Planned Development, focused on specifying setbacks and allowed uses, but this agenda item will be continued to April 9.

Applicant Cleora, LLC has created a planned development on the historic townsite; on approximately 55 acres east of the Salida Wastewater Treatment Plant and railroad tracks. Currently it is zoned Industrial and Recreational. BLM land lies to the north and east of the subject property.

Two additional items will wrap up the regular agenda: a public hearing is scheduled to consider a Special Event Permit for The Concert at The Meadows Farm, and a staff request for direction on the 2025 Congressional Directed Spending project submission.
