EDC Insights Session Set for January 16 at Salida SteamPlant

The Chaffee County Economic Development Corporation (EDC) has announced its annual meeting from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 16 at the Salida SteamPlant.

At the 2024 EDC Annual Meeting, they will provide members and prospective members an inside look at how the EDC engages on behalf of the business community to collaborate across sectors at the local, county, and state level. The past few years have been challenging, and as the county enters 2024, the EDC points out:

“What is certain is that the biggest challenges and opportunities we face as a community – around housing, childcare, sustainability, water, land use, broadband, and so many other topics – will require a level of alignment between public, private, and nonprofit partners that is difficult to achieve.”

Four featured panelists will extend the EDC Insights speaker series, powered by TBK Bank, representing both public and private sector voices on policy.

The four include: County Commissioner P.T.Wood, Buena Vista Mayor Pro Tem Gina Lucezi, Collegiate Peaks Senior Vice President Joe Smith, and Central Colorado Title & Escrow Manager Gwen Allen.
