“Terry Fankhauser was a force for Colorado agriculture. I am deeply saddened by his loss. Terry and I worked together for many years prior to my time as Commissioner and through all of the years since.

Terry was fierce yet kind; focused in his commitment to the people of Colorado, agriculture, and to his own family farm; and always someone I could call whether or not we agreed on what we had to talk about. That’s one thing I loved about working with Terry: he was honest, forthright, and never shied away from the tough stuff.

My heart is with Terry’s family and all those he knew and loved.”

The Prowers Journal announced his passing on January 29 and Robert Farnam, current CCA president and long-time friend of Terry Fankhauser affirms, “We have lost a truly great man today; a loving husband, dad, and friend. He loved this association, its members, and the beef industry in our great state.”
