Applications for the 11th Annual Valley Visions Art Showcase due April 15, 2023
The Salida Council for the Arts (SCFTA) reminds area artists that applications are due in just three weeks for the annual show which will be held on May 5 through May 7, 2023 at the Salida SteamPlant Ballroom.
Organizers know that artists are always busy but suggest that they not wait until right up to the deadline as only the first 70 entries received will be admitted; one entry per person. The event is open to all greater Salida area (within a 40 mi. radius) visual artists, photographers, artisans, fine art jewelers and sculptors. Complete entry guidelines are here.
Valley Visions is a popular annual art exhibition hosted by the SCFTA. Celebrated as a showcase for the Arkansas River Valley’s top established and emerging creative talent, the exhibit features the area’s most innovative painters, sculptors, photographers, and artisans. All artwork will be available for purchase.
- Artwork will be categorized and judged by an experienced art expert.
- First, second, and third place awards and potential honorable mentions will be given within each category.
- One “People’s Choice” Award voted by show patrons will be announced at the reception.
Student artists also encouraged to participate
A special show will also feature work by the top student artists from Salida schools. This takes place in the SteamPlant mezzanine and runs concurrently with the Valley Visions show in the main floor Ballroom.
