The Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center Board emerged from their special board executive session on Tuesday to vote unanimously to contract with Colarelli Construction, Inc. on the building of a Hospice and Hospitality House/Employee Housing complex. The total cost approved for this project is $1,801,000.

This special project will be comprised of 10 living units;  four one-bedroom units and six two-bedroom units.

Colarelli Construction will be the construction manager on the project. HRRMC will retain the role of the project general manager. All subcontracts needed will be bid and in accordance with Colorado Revised Statutes.

Colarelli has a history of working with Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center. In recent years, the firm constructed a three-story clinic that now provides services for physical therapy, imaging, cardiology, urology, and rehabilitation.

Additionally, Colarelli Construction completed an addition to the existing hospital consisting of a lab and sleep rooms. On the same campus, Colarelli Construction also built a helicopter hanger for critical access to the hospital.
